Paper piecing class

image

Had my last class this month at Serendipity Quilt Shop, Dagsboro Delaware. We did a bit of paper piecing. What fun! The pattern is called Turkey Tracks by Pat Sloan. It came from her book “I Can’t believe I’m Quilting , Beyond the Basics”.

I managed to get my four squares for the class done in the 3 hours. Brought them home and pinned them up on the design wall for a look.

I have the sashing and borders and corner stones cut, so it will make a nice table cover or wall hanging or pillow.  For now, it is going to hang on the wall while I get to look and enjoy it for a few days.

I have SO many other UFO’s, and only have a week and 1/2 before I take a little trip to see the grandkids.  So, for now, I am enjoying all those lovely pieces and colors, and will think about how to “finish” this  project once the top is finished.    I really do enjoy learning a new skill, and we had a great teacher.  I go back in April for the final class which will be fun, because it involves using 5″ squares from charm packs and CURVES……something I have not learned to work with yet!

TOMORROW – I plan to continue working on a border for my ON POINT quilt I started in class earlier in the month.  I think I want to give it as a gift next month, so I must really get busy in the morning!

Have fun stitching!!
