This has been a great week for sewing. It’s cold and wet and rainy outside, so what better way to stay indoors than to get busy stitching.
I managed to “sort” my fabric bins and organize by color. I finished one senior quilt and brought home a packet for a second to lay out and
stitch. (Still in the zip-lock, but I brought it home Tuesday night). Wednesday I finished putting the rows together for my “GET TO THE POINT”
quilt top that I started in class last week. It went together nicely I think.
Looking at it today in class, I decided it really needs a border or two (one narrow, one wide) to finish it off.
In class today I was the only one working on this weeks project. Nobody else liked the design, so they decided NOT to work on it. I am nearly finished, just need to put the borders on, then I will post a picture or two.
Tripped over a fat quarter sale at Serendipty Quilt Shop (all F/Q on sale for $2.) So, I stocked up….spent too much, but hey, it’s for the stash, and for next weeks project also.
Happy stitching!
I see my apron fabric!

i wonder what they didn’t like about the design of the quilt? It looks really nice to me.

I think what they didn’t like was the “large” floral. I am used to using small prints in my quilts, so it was a big change for me too. My thought is always to look at a pattern in “black and white” so the existing colors don’t sway you one way or the other. The original fabric in book we were using had green tones, which I didn’t much like.

I’d like to follow your blog but don’t see anything on your home page that offers this.

Lillian – thanks for your comment. Blogging is ‘new’ to me. I’m not quite sure how to put a “follow-me” button/link on my page; but I will investigate.
I was able to follow several blogs by doing a “search” on WordPress for QUILT, and I got a whole “list” of different blogs, and on that list was an opportunity to follow.
Thanks for the question, I will try to figure it out.
